Can someone tell me (roughly) how much does it cost to get
health insurance for husband and wife, in Slovenia?
How much for dental insurance?

The basic insurance is payed by your employer.
For the "additional" insurance which covers pretty much everything, you have to pay for yourself and is around 23€ per person.
 Dental is here also covered.

Let’s assume there is no employer, and that I will be paying for the entire cost,
health care and dental, if they are separate. Sometimes they are not.

hm...

If they are unempled they need/should register to the "state employment agency" which then covers those (basic?) costs.
If  they are not Slovenian citizens or cant or dont want to go to the agency I have no idea how the sollution looks like.

You can also pay the basic insurance by yourself. It's about 15€ a month.

living in Prekmurje. I don’t think I’ll be able to get work that fast.
